Festival Dates by City

Hindu festival dates for each year, calculated for your city with the Tithi and Nakshatra of the day.

Why festival dates can differ by city

Most Hindu festivals are tied to a Tithi or Nakshatra that must be present at a particular time of day, such as sunrise, midday or midnight. Because local sunrise varies across India, a festival can fall on different calendar days in different cities. Regional calendars (solar or lunar, Amanta or Purnimanta) can also shift the observance, so follow your family or temple tradition when they differ.
