Your timing at a glance: Dasha, transits and today

The timing view brings together the three layers that decide when things happen: the Dasha period you are running, the slow transits over your chart, and the quality of today. It answers the everyday question of whether now is a good time, with the reasons laid out.

The Dasha layer

The top band shows your current Mahadasha, Antardasha and Pratyantardasha with their dates. The planet of each period is described in a sentence: what it rules in your chart and what themes it brings forward.

The transit layer

The middle band shows Saturn, Jupiter, Rahu and Ketu through the houses of your chart, with the next sign change for each, and any Sade Sati or Ashtama Shani in progress.

The day layer

The bottom band shows today: the five limbs of the Panchangam, your Tarabalam and Chandrabalam, the Hora of the current hour, and Rahu Kalam, Yamagandam and Kuligai.

Reading the layers together

A good day inside a good Dasha with a supportive transit is the strongest time to begin. If the Dasha is supportive but the day is not, wait for a better day in the same week. If the Dasha is difficult, prefer steady work over bold new starts, and use good days for small steps.

Planning ahead

Move the date forward to see how the layers line up in coming weeks and months, and set reminders for the days that score best.

An example

Suppose you are in the Dasha of Jupiter, and Jupiter rules your tenth house of work. Jupiter is now crossing your eleventh sign from the Moon, which is a good transit. Today the Moon is in your Sampat Tara and the hour is ruled by the Sun. That is a fine moment to send a proposal or start a new role. If instead the Moon were in your eighth sign today, the advice would be to prepare now and act two days later, inside the same helpful Dasha and transit.

Keeping it simple

You do not need to understand every layer to use the view. The summary line at the top gives a plain answer for the day, with a short reason, and the details are there whenever you want to look deeper.

Frequently asked questions

What is a Pratyantardasha?

The third level of the Dasha, lasting weeks to a few months.

Which layer matters most?

The Dasha sets the promise, transits time it, and the day fine-tunes it.

What is a Hora?

A planetary hour. Each hour of the day is ruled by one of the seven planets.

Can I plan a month ahead?

Yes. Move the date to any day in the future.

Do I need my birth time?

Yes, for the Dasha and the houses.

What if my Dasha is difficult?

Focus on steady effort and use good days for important small steps.

Is Rahu Kalam shown for my city?

Yes. It depends on local sunrise and sunset.

Can I get reminders?

Yes, for good days and for sign changes.

How is this different from the daily horoscope?

It is built from your own chart rather than your Moon sign alone.

What is Abhijit Muhurta?

The midday window around local noon, considered good for most work except on Wednesdays.

Does it show Sade Sati?

Yes, in the transit layer.

Can I use it for someone else?

Yes. Switch to any saved chart.

Why does the summary say wait?

Usually because the Moon is in your eighth sign or an unfavourable Tara today, while the larger periods are fine. A day or two later is often better.

Does it include Ashtama Shani?

Yes. Saturn in the eighth sign from your Moon is shown in the transit layer with its dates.

Can I see past dates?

Yes. Move the date back to see how the layers stood at an event in the past.
